Project Overview
This project started from a very typical but often overlooked requirement.
The client needed a ceiling-mounted camera solution in a room with a total ceiling height of only 2.5 meters, and importantly, no false ceiling structure was available.
In most standard cases, ceiling-mounted lifts rely on additional space above the ceiling for installation and concealment. However, in this project, the installation had to be done directly on the solid ceiling, which significantly limited the available space for the lifting system.
Based on the initial communication, the main constraints were clear:
- Limited ceiling height (2.5m total)
- No false ceiling for hidden installation
- Requirement for stable and precise camera positioning
- Need for sufficient lifting stroke despite compact structure
This combination creates a conflict: Short overall height vs. long extension travel
Our Solution
To address this, we developed a compact telescopic camera lift with an ultra-short closed height of 50 cm, while still achieving a maximum extension of 144 cm.This solution was made possible by:
- Redesigning the telescopic tube structure
- Optimizing internal space to reduce closed height
- Maintaining structural stability during full extension
The result is a lift that can be directly installed on a solid ceiling, without requiring additional ceiling space, while still providing enough drop distance for proper camera positioning.
